Patented Wide Range Dampening System, Ultra-Fine Polished Stylus, and Field-Stabilizing Neodymium Magnet System Give Ortofon MC Windfeld Uncommon Grace and Gorgeous Musicality

Windfeld's patented Wide Range Dampening system, ultra-fine polished stylus, and field-stabilizing neodymium magnet system make beautiful music with every groove it encounters.

Tribute to an Iconic Analog Designer
This highly advanced design functions as a tribute to Ortofon's departed engineer Per Windfeld, who had for more than 30 years been head of development behind amazing cartridges such as the Ortofon MC 20 Super, Concorde, MC Rohmann, MC Jubilee, and Kontrapunkt Series. MC Windfeld is designed by a team headed by Mr. Windfeld's successor, Leif Johannsen, the Ortofon's Chief Officer of Acoustics and Technology. The cartridge bears Mr. Windfeld's initials "PW," which are inscribed in gold on the cartridge's side.

WRD System, Replicant 100 Diamond, Field Stabilizing Element for Finest Musical Extraction
Windfeld retains many of Per Windfeld's earlier design innovations, including Wide Range Damping (WRD) system and the ultra-fine polished version of extremely low-mass, large-vertical-contact Replicant 100 diamond, capable of extracting musical information from LP grooves with a greater degree of accuracy than any other kind of needle. It's rounded out by a strong neodymium magnet system with a Field Stabilizing Element (FSE) located within the magnet system.
