Spotify Connect, Apple AirPlay 2, Qobuz, and Tidal offer a world’s-worth of content, there’s Chromecast built-in to make things even easier, and the CXN V2 is Roon Ready enriching the experience of browsing your NAS and UPnP audio too. Add digital optical and coaxial inputs, asynchronous USB socket, aptX Bluetooth (via adapter) and internet radio, and the CXN V2 brings the planet’s music into your home.

Built with many new features to guarantee a more efficient and seamless listening experience, CXN V2's improved Black Marlin processor promotes quicker system start-up and smoother navigation. Internet radio listeners will be happy to learn that the CXN V2 supports new file formats, including MPEG-DASH and HLS, for higher-quality streaming and shorter buffering periods. It also includes greater playback control, so you can easily pinpoint your favorite music moments using the Cambridge Connect app.

MPEG-DASH and HLS for Stress-Free Streaming
CXN V2 supports DASH (dynamic adaptive streaming over HTTP, also known as mpeg-DASH) and HLS right out of the box. Both DASH and HLS enable higher quality Internet radio streams, at up to 320kbps stereo AAC, with less time spent buffering. Your Internet radio experience will be so much more enjoyable now.

Control and Seek
From the very first moment when you switch on the CXN V2, you’ll find even more control over your library as you’ll be able to seek through digital music to pinpoint your favorite music moments. When playing from a UPnP server or USB thumb drive, you’ll now be able to seek within the track. Seek will also be supported in the Cambridge Audio app to control Spotify playback.

Whichever input the music comes from - wired or wireless – and whatever its original quality or resolution, the powerful digital engine inside every CXN V2 upsamples your favorite songs to 24-bit/384kHz, delivering pure, audio heaven.
This is then output via Wolfson WM8740 DACs, which are arranged in Dual Differential configuration to extract that last drop of detail.

Digital Preamp Mode
A great feature that you'll find on the CXN V2 is the ability to easily configure it for "Digital Preamp" mode. In "Digital Preamp" mode you can also adjust the channel balance, adding important capability and flexibility to this already cool component. Digital preamp mode, when enabled, allows volume adjustment to be performed within the upsampling Digital Signal Processor (DSP) before being converted to an analog audio signal for connection to a power amp.

Adaptive Time Filtering Upsampling
The CXN V2 features ATF2 (2nd generation Adaptive Time Filtering) audio upsampling. The ATF2 system intelligently upsamples all incoming audio to 24-bit/384kHz. ATF2 also dramatically reduces digital jitter, a form of audible interference which affects all digital music. Jitter is most apparent when music is stored on computer hard drives and is the audio equivalent to a blurred image in a movie. Data scrambling circuitry also maintains signal quality and purity during quieter periods by reducing background noise.

As well as extracting ultimate detail from every source (even CD, Blu-ray and lossless digital files), ATF2 virtually eliminates jitter common in playing digital audio files. Jitter can lead to a flatter, lifeless sound with tinnier bass response. Those problems vanish when digital audio is put through the CXN V2.

Lots of Connectivity
No matter what you want to plug into or stream from, the CXN V2 will excel. In addition to having a USB connection, the CXN is compatible with both S/PDIF and optical digital connections used in most Blu-ray players, media streamers, and games consoles. Bypassing the inbuilt audio components of these devices and using the CXN brings enhanced levels of detail, breathing life into the audio from movies, games, and more. The CXN also offers both balanced and unbalanced analog audio outputs for superior connectivity.

Phones, Tablets, and Wireless Bluetooth Audio
Add the optional plug-and-play BT100 Bluetooth Audio Receiver and wirelessly stream audio from smartphones, tablets, laptops and other Bluetooth-enabled devices.
