Spendor's D7.2 loudspeaker combines distinctive modern styling with state-of-the-art engineering. This medium-size, 2.5 way, floor-standing loudspeaker delivers music with a vibrant realism that conventional loudspeakers cannot match.

The D7.2’s are large enough to deliver deep articulate bass and capture the essence of a live performance, yet they can be easily placed in any listening room.

Life-Like Dynamic Sound
The D7.2 mid-bass drive unit uses Spendor's advanced EP77 polymer cone for superb clarity and vanishingly low coloration. The D7.2 low frequency drive unit has an ultra-rigid Kevlar composite cone for accurate powerful deep bass. Both 7" drive units feature a new surround, cast magnesium alloy chassis, high efficiency motor systems, optimized electro-dynamic damping, and excellent thermal dissipation resulting in a thrilling wide dynamic range.

Smooth, Natural Highs
D Line loudspeakers feature Spendor's own soft dome LPZ tweeter. The Spendor LPZ tweeter is built around a stainless steel front plate which controls the phase and equalizes sound wave pressure in front and behind the tweeter. The result is an extended and linear response, with higher sensitivity, for smooth natural high frequencies.

Best in Class Timing and Transparency
Spendor's unique Dynamic Damping System is a brilliant innovation that allows the D Line loudspeakers to delivery timing and transparency normally only found in much more expensive loudspeakers using exotic cabinet materials. Timing is fundamental to the musical experience. In conventional loudspeaker designs spurious energy is stored and released slowly which introduces undesirable blurring, slowing of the sound and cabinet colouration.

Spendor’s innovative solution features asymmetric cabinet bracing to disperse internal waves and Spendor's own Dynamic Damping System. The Dynamic Damping System uses small low mass constrained polymer dampers at key energy interface points which instantly convert spurious energy to inaudible heat. The result is a silent rigid cabinet and a naturally fast engaging sound - a truly remarkable achievement for a loudspeaker using a wood box cabinet.

Deep, Articulate Bass and Easy In-Room Placement
Spendor's unique Linear Flow Port technology provides deep articulate bass with natural timing, even in small rooms or close to a wall. The latest fifth generation Linear Flow Port maintains evenly balanced acoustic pressure and air-flow along the whole length of the port eliminating port noise and spurious mid-band radiation.

With dual port tuning each port works less resulting in more even and articulate bass response. The Spendor D7.2 is entirely free from energy storage effects, the advantage is clearly audible, music sounds naturally fast, agile and coherent. High quality terminals are recessed within the port aperture to hide plug and cable connections for neat appearance.

High Efficiency
90dB efficiency and an easy to drive 8 ohm load ensure complete compatibility with a wide range of amplifiers and cables. With substantial power handling the D7.2’s can play very loud without sounding compressed. At low replay levels the sound is always clear and transparent.
