The Meridian Explorer 2 is the next generation USB DAC superseding the original Meridian Explorer. The Meridian Explorer 2 comes MQA ready. MQA (Master Quality Authenticated) is a new high quality digital audio sampling technology - intended to match an original master file recorded via a lossless format file.
Like any USB DAC the Explorer 2 replaces or bypasses your computer's sound card to produce stronger, fuller and better-processed audio. Upsampling capabilities of 176.4/192kHz means this is a big jump from it's younger brother. This is a 24bit - 192kHz unit. USB 2 ready for maximum data throughput also allows plenty of room for 192kHz audio signals.
