The iFi Zen DAC is a portable USB headphone amp and digital audio converter built to provide a wide variety of headphones and in-ear monitors with high-fidelity audio in a stylish chassis that is ready for the home and the office.

The unit is very well suited for use as a compact, desktop USB DAC and amp—simply connect to your computer's USB port, which also supplies the unit with power) and plug in your favorite headphones. Alternatively, you can use the the Zen as a DAC with a pair of active speakers or connected to an external amplifier.

Stable, Balanced, and Flexible

  • TDK C0G (Class 1 ceramic) capacitors offer high stability and low losses for resonant circuit applications.
  • The balanced design in the analog stage offers superlow-noise performance, and will remain quiet even when used in noisy situations such as yachts or RVs.
  • The ZEN DAC sports Pentaconn 4.4mm balanced outputs at both the front and back. On the front, there’s also a 1/4" headphone socket. You get both headphone options.

Plays Nice with a Wide Variety of Formats

  • Supports PCM and DXD up to 32-bit / 384 kHz, DSD256 and MQA. DSD remains bit-perfect thanks to the True Native Burr Brown chip design.
  • Resolutions:
    • PCM: 44.1, 48, 88.2, 96, 176.4, 192 kHz
    • DSD: 2.8, 3.1, 5.6, 6.2, 11.2, 12.4 MHz
    • DXD: 353, 384 kHz
  • Bespoke, easy to install firmware maxes out the circuitry to bring you customized hi-res audio.
  • Using Mac or Linux? Then check out the exclusive iFi firmware and download Limoncello 5.2A to unlock DoP256 for Mac/Linux.
  • Fancy adding the special GTO filter first introduced in the Pro iDSD? Use Cookies and Cream 5.3C.

PowerMatch Your Headphones for Proper Listening

  • PowerMatch is switchable gain to perfectly match your headphones for best performance.
  • Leave PowerMatch at its low setting for hiss-free listening with high-sensitivity in-ear monitors.
  • Press PowerMatch to increase the level of drive needed for on-ear and over-ear headphones with relatively low impedance.

TrueBass Analog Low-End Enhancement

  • TrueBass is a proprietary switchable bass boost operating in the analog domain with no DSP used.
  • TrueBass enhances the bass but does not muddy the midrange. It's well suited for compensating the low-end loss in IEMs or open-back headphones.
