Updated with a new balanced headphone jack that sports more output power, the iFi Audio Pro iDSD Digital to Analog Converter Player is designed to play PCM audio up to 768 kHz, as well as DSD and DXD files. It utilizes a quad-core Burr Brown multibit/DSD hybrid DAC, supporting DSD up to DSD1024.

The Pro iDSD can be used as a wireless high-resolution network player as well as a digital-to-analog converter in a high-end home system. The Pro iDSD features a Wi-Fi antenna to be used with the MUZO Player app. It plays audio files by connecting the Pro iDSD to the local Wi-Fi system to stream Spotify, TIDAL, Napster, QQ Music, and more.

With a variety of XLR balanced inputs and outputs, the player provides an AES/EBU XLR interface to connect to CD transport or DAW Digital Audio Workstations. This system includes Bit-Perfect, Bit-Perfect+, Gibbs Transient Optimized, Apodizing, and Transient Aligned PCM filters for the discerning audiophile. The DSD connection, which necessitates playback over USB, sports a dedicated filter that rounds audio off at 80 kHz to mitigate any aliasing. Also, this filter offers a 6 dB boost to compensate for the inherent signal loss of DSD.

On the front end, three different analog playback modes shape the sound, altering your sonic experience. These include Solid-State and Tube modes, and a Tube+ mode that reduces negative feedback to give you tube-saturated harmonic excitement. Listen on headphones through a 1/4" jack, a 3.5mm single-ended output, or a balanced 4.4mm connection.
